Since the ancient times up to date we have known that there is an existence of a super natural being, God, who controls the universe and has some rules that we human beings have to follow and live in accordance to. These rules are written in the holy book, the bible which are known as commandments and there are people called pastors who have been assigned by God to remind us of them. However, pastors have had a hard time correcting people due to prophetic pastor opportunities that has brought with it false prophets.

A prophecy is a message conveyed to the people from God through prophets or commonly a prophecy is said to be predicting the future happenings. Prophetic pastors are people who convey these messages to their congregation.

Most people assume that prophecy is connected to judgment so we tend to become uncomfortable when we hear prophetically preaching. Other people are ready to change their ways of living by repenting and living righteously. That is why you will see that in churches and crusades many will want to surrender their old ways and turn to Christ.

People usually feel uncomfortable and nervous around prophets because they often tell people the truth they do not want to hear so they are often rejected and this is how false prophets are welcomed. Unlike true prophets the impostors tell people what they want to hear, soothing their soul and minds, while in the real sense their main agenda is to exploit people.

A church without a prophetic pastor will eventually wither and start losing its congregation one after the other and lose its true meaning. A church should be a prophetic voice to its nation, in that it should be able to warn or guide people on certain things against the laws of the bible.

These false prophetic pastors extort money from their congregation in form of tithe and offering who innocently give out without knowing. They also claim to have certain powers such as healing the sick, making the blind to see or even helping a barren woman to get a child only on the condition that they will bring an offering in terms of monetary value.

It has become difficult to differentiate the true prophetic pastors from the false one. But some of the common characteristics that the false prophets posses are; their desire for money and power. The bible says that their hearts are trained to be greedy. Only a true Christian with a lot of faith has the gift to know the right from wrong.

It has become a problem that needs to be addressed but unfortunately people choose to ignore and fall victims. Thus the common saying a true prophet is never accepted in his own town. The bible warns people about false prophecy like in the book of Peter chapter 2:10, it says that the false teachers are bold and arrogant, they show no respect for the glorious being above and instead they insult them.
