The most popular of them are American Girl dolls. You may have heard of them. They are cute little girls made up in period costumes and have tons of accessories to go with them. The only issue is their price. If that's a concern for you, there are a few knock off brands that girls like, too. They are My Generation dolls and Adora dolls. They are the same 18 inch size and their clothes all fir each other.
Fashion dolls are Barbie dolls and the like. Yes, they are still a hit with young girls. There are other types out there like Bratz dolls. Many of these are getting a bad name these days because of their accentuated sexuality and possible influence on young girls.
