There have been hundreds of books written by different authors, all on the subject of the evidences of divine inspiration of this scripture. Is the Bible true? This is greatest question that many people have asked themselves over a considerable period of time. Many people hold different opinion on this issues. Bibles are mainly used by the Christians and they do firmly believe it is holy as it was written by God himself through his prophets and servants.

Those who do not believe in its validity claim it to be misleading. The Muslims for instance have been the critiques of the scripture since it differs with their version. The Christians on the other hand have a strong faith on the holy book and trust it to be the guide of every human being.

Bible is said to be a canonical collection of sacred texts in Judaism and Christianity. There exist no single Bible rather many Bibles with different content. The term scripture is split between Christianity and Judaism, although the content of each of these collections of the canonical texts are not the same. Various religious group have different writings within the biblical canons in various orders and in other times divides or combine books additional materials into canonical books.

There is additional of 7 books in the catholic book of God which adds it to 73 unlike the Protestants version which has 66 books. This has raised questions about the originality of this scripture among the word believers.

God did not hand anyone a complete scripture rather over time it is believed the Holy Spirit inspired the authors of scriptures to write Gods revelation to humankind. As time went by the church compiled this book to form a canon which is an authoritative set of sacred scripture and declared it Gods word. This raises many questions on the validity of the scripture as humans can be biased in one way or another. There are different versions of the scripture which at some point it has clearly brought out differences between these versions. This is mainly due to translation into many languages that distorts the initial intended message.

The Christians view it as a place where a life of love and good works is experienced. They are given guidance on their daily undertakings through the holy writing. The civilization of world in music arts, ethics and the law have been majorly influenced by only the scripture. Great thinkers and leaders in the history have affirmed to it hence raising its credibility.

The authors of the holy book are believed to have been righteous people who were very close to God and lived an exemplary life which touched many people lives. In addition several prophesies have been consistent from the old testament to the New Testament. For instance the Old Testament prophesied on the coming of the messiah (the son of God) which came to pass in the New Testament.

Every individual have his/her understanding of these verses. The faith of an individual is what creates a stand on whether to believe in it or not. The Quran has more books included in it more than the bible hence making therefore making the Muslims to believe that the scripture is misleading. It is not compulsory for human beings to believe in it but have the right to give individual taking.
